In return, the EU agreed to reduce duties on imports of U.S origin live and frozen lobster products. It was first announced in a U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) press release back in August 2020.
We note that these U.S. duty reductions are not restricted to only EU origin products, but to any of these products entered at the MFN duty rate.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) advised the duty reductions are retroactive to August 1, 2020, and that a Post Summary Correction (PSC) or protest may be filed to request a refund.
