Global Affairs Canada has issued a Notice to Exporters for peanut butter exports to the United States. The updated Notice reflects changes to the allocation, return and reallocation policies associated with the administration of the peanut butter quota.
The new Peanut Butter Notice to Exporters No. 199 (the Notice) invites applicants to submit an application for a share of the peanut butter for export to the United States is now available. Canadian exporters have access to a 14,500,000 kilogram country-specific reserve within the US import TRQ.
The deadline to submit an application for the 2017 peanut butter export year is November 15, 2016. The application forms are available in the Notice to Exporters and can be submitted by e-mail or mail.
