The union representing longshore workers at the Port of Montreal (syndicat des débardeurs) issued a 72-hour notice on Friday, September 27, for a three-day strike at two of the Port’s terminals.
The notice was filed at 7 a.m. on Friday, September 27, and allows workers to walk off the job at 7 a.m. on Monday, September 30 until 6:59 a.m. on Thursday October 3rd.
Shippers can expect significant delays as 350 members are expected to be part of the labor action.
