The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced on December 5, 2024, that it has launched a SIMA investigation into the alleged dumping of certain corrosion-resistant steel sheet originating in or exported from Turkey by Borçelik Çelik Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş.
Subsequently, on December 6, 2024, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated a preliminary inquiry to determine whether the alleged dumping of these goods has caused injury or is threatening to cause injury to Canadian manufacturers. The CITT is scheduled to make its determination no later than February 3, 2025.
