The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) announced they issued a nine-month extension for 352 exclusions from Section 301 duties for Chinese origin products that used Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) number 9903.88.67. They had been due to expire on December 31, 2022 but will now expire at 11:59 pm on September 30, 2023.
Without the exclusion they would be subject to additional duties of 7.5 to 25 percent.
The exclusions include 89 products from List 1, 34 from List 2, 187 from List 3, and 42 from List 4a.
The USTR is also accepting comments on the effectiveness of actions taken in the China Section 301 investigation. Comments may be submitted at the USTR web portal through January 17, 2023on Docket ID number USTR-2022-0014, where you may view comments already submitted.
