CFIA fall 2023 risk management measures for U.S. romaine lettuce

The following was provided by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) July 20^th, 2023:

Effective September 28, 2023, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) will again add a temporary condition to Fresh Fruit and Vegetable import licenses, which will require sampling and testing of some California romaine lettuce prior to import into Canada.

The temporary conditions will be required from September 28 to December 20, 2023.
