Re-investigations are conducted by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to update values, establish normal values for new products or models subject to the measures in force, and establish normal values for new co-operative exporters.
On July 17, 2023, the CBSA concluded a re-investigation of the Corrosion-resistant steel sheet 2 SIMA case currently in force.
During the investigation, CBSA sent out requests for information (RFI) to all known importers, exporters, producers and vendors to solicit information on the costs and selling prices of subject goods.
Exporters which submitted a complete response to the RFI’s and for whom the verification was considered reliable, were issued normal values for future shipments.
As such, imports of subject goods, exported to Canada by co-operative exporters will not be subject to anti-dumping duties if the goods are sold to Canada at or above the normal value issued by CBSA.
Complete details regarding the conclusion of the re-investigation, including a list of the co-operative exporters are available here.
