Anti-dumping duties are now being assessed on certain concrete reinforcing bar imported on or after July 2, 2021.
On June 2, 2021, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), made a final determination of dumping of certain concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from Oman and Russia.
Subsequently on July 2, 2021, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) issued a finding that the dumping of the aforementioned goods has not caused injury but is threatening to cause injury.
In this scenario, any provisional duties which have been paid will be refunded, and anti-dumping duties will now be payable on subject goods released after the date of the CITT finding.

The CITT will issue a statement of reasons within 15 days.
