On September 24, 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) concluded a normal value review to determine normal values and export prices of goods subject to the Upholstered domestic seating SIMA case, exported to Canada by Duc Thanh Co., Ltd (Duc Thanh) of Vietnam.
As a result of the review, the CBSA determined that the information provided by Duc Thanh was insufficient. Consequently, normal values were not issued, and the “all other exporters” anti-dumping and countervailing duty rates will apply to imports from this exporter. Importers are reminded that if using the services of a customs broker to clear their importations, the brokerage firm should be advised whether or not the goods are subject to anti-dumping and countervailing duties and be provided with sufficient information necessary to accurately assess SIMA, if applicable.
Details regarding the review are available here.
