The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), on August 23, 2024, concluded a normal value review to determine normal values and export prices of goods subject to the Carbon steel welded pipe SIIMA case, exported to Canada from China by Tianjin Baode Steel Co., Ltd.
As a result of the review, the CBSA has determined that the information provided by Tianjin Baode was insufficient. As such, normal values were not issued, and the “all other exporters” anti-dumping and countervailing rates will apply to imports from this exporter.
Importers are reminded that, if using the services of a customs broker to clear their importations, the brokerage firm should be advised whether or not the goods are subject to anti-dumping and countervailing duties and be provided with sufficient information necessary to accurately assess SIMA if applicable.
Details regarding the review are available here.
