As a Director, Jamie Adams is responsible for meeting with customers and prospects and assessing their trade compliance needs and outlining the solutions and services to help them meet their objectives. The services could include, but not be limited to: global trade consulting, business process outsourced managed services and trade automation in connection with brokerage and freight services.Jamie has over 20 years of experience in Senior Management at several multi-national importer/exporters, namely: Comtech EF Data, Dell, Hewlett-Packard and Cameron Corporation. In addition to drafting regulatory policies and procedures and managing day-to-day import and export operations, he was heavily engaged in various trade automation projects as a leader in business operations and also in IT.
A Licensed Customs Broker, Jamie also taught international business and brokerage exam prep courses at Austin Community College. He has a BA in Art History from Arizona State University and an MBA in International Business from Western International University.Jamie’s expertise includes: the assessment of trade risks and opportunities for optimization; full end-to-end process mapping; supply chain data analytics for increased efficiency, cost minimization and cycle-time reduction; development and implementation of import and export compliance programs; the design and integration of trade automation for restricted and sanctioned party screening, license determination, free trade qualification, product classification (HTS/HS, ECCN/ECN, USML, etc.), trade document generation, import/export declaration and recordkeeping; supply chain security reviews; training and development of compliance staff.
