Anti-dumping duties are now being assessed on certain heavy plate imported on or after February 5, 2021.
On January 7, 2021, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), made a final determination of dumping of certain heavy plate originating in or exported from Taiwan and Germany.
Subsequently on February 5, 2021, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) issued a finding that the dumping of the aforementioned goods has caused injury or retardation or is threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.
The subject goods are usually classified under HS classification numbers 7208.51.00.10, 7208.51.00.93, 7208.51.00.94, 7208.51.00.95, 7208.52.00.10, 7208.52.00.93 & 7208.52.00.96. Note that the HS codes provided are for convenience of reference only. Please refer to the product definition provided in the CITT Final Injury Determination for authoritative details regarding the subject goods.
The statement of reasons will be issued within 15 days.
