The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) announced modifications made to Section 301 duties on European Union (EU) origin products, which are effective September 1, 2020.
Twenty-five percent additional duties will apply to the below French or German origin products, which will enter using a primary Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) number of 9903.89.52:

In addition, there were two changes where a country subject to additional duties will no longer be subject:
- Greek origin ‘Cheeses & subst. for cheese (including mixtures), nesoi, without cows milk, with butterfat over 0.5% by weight, not General Note 15’, of HTS Subheading 0406.90.99.
- Great Britain origin ‘Sweet Biscuits’ of HTS Subheading 1905.31.00.
Section 301 additional duties on European origin goods were established as a means of countermeasure to the Airbus dispute, and were first effective on October 18, 2019.
