Livingston becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Purolator Inc., a leading integrated freight, package and logistics solutions provider operating principally in Canada and the United States.

2021

Launch of e-commerce service.

2019

Livingston is acquired by Platinum Equity, a global investment firm with approximately $36 billion of assets under management and a portfolio of approximately 50 operating companies.

2012

Livingston accelerates growth through numerous acquisitions over six years, including the 2016 acquisition of Montreal-based Affiliated Customs Brokers and its related companies.

2012

Introduction of customs compliance offering, expanding Livingston’s operations to Mexico, Europe and Asia. 

2010

Customs brokerage business in the U.S. expands to facilitate entries along U.S.-Mexico border.

2005

Livingston introduces its SmartBorder® application for U.S. air/sea brokers and also adds continent-wide vehicle-moving capabilities.

2003

Launch of U.S. air/sea business.

1993

The company expands into U.S. customs brokerage, becoming the first customs broker operating coast to coast in both Canada and the U.S.

1978

Livingston’s customs brokerage business is launched.

The company is renamed Livingston Industries Limited.

Gerry Livingston’s export packaging firm is incorporated in Canada under the name Livingston Lumber & Manufacturing Ltd.
